If you’re worried about how to go about teaching your child to swim, why not have them taught by an expert teacher?

Kingfisher is the leading swimming school for mother and baby through to adult teaching.
Kelvin runs the classes 6 days a week with the aim of giving children the confidence to swim correctly and progress to good strokes. It’s also a great way to keep fitness levels high for all ages. Courses can run for around 7 weeks where Kelvin has the goal of getting those arm bands off of his trainees as soon as possible.

Kelvin has taught hundreds of children to swim properly and has been county champion with several strokes and has even been a national qualifier.

Kelvin’s wife, Jayne, started as a swim teacher to help with the business as it became so busy. Jayne, who is very popular with her students, then progressed to become a highly qualified swimming teacher aiming to encourage the children while building their confidence along the way.

Reaching STA level as a swimming tutor, Jayne also runs courses regularly for teachers and is mother and baby qualified.

Kelvin and Jayne have two children, Sophie and Hannah, both, of course, excellent swimmers. They are also very good at skiing which proves their fitness levels. Sophie even won a Dorset Schools competition for her swimming and also loves horse riding.

Kelvin built his business from his own experience; he was a champion swimmer at Bournemouth Dolphins between 1970 - 1978. He learned to swim in Singapore from the age of 7.

Kingfisher has been running successfully since 1990 and, although very busy, the classes are purposely kept small to ensure better tutoring, a technique that has proved to work perfectly.

Kelvin is a swimming teacher to other clubs and, especially, schools.

So, if you would like your child to learn to swim under expert guidance and from somebody who really cares about training them correctly, safely and right on to advanced levels, look no further than Kingfisher/2 which is based in Poole. Why not bring the family along, it’s fun and exciting! Telephone 01202 383761
